Cause of death?

Hello again note the large abscess on the side of the jaw!

I believe this killed the animal one way or the other.

Prehistoric mineralized mammal bone. Either becouse of the inabillaty to eat or blood poisoning?

  1. Appears to be a domestic pig mandible with a nasty abscess on the left side. Difference between the wild boar and domestic pig is the teeth.

    1. I agree when i made this post i had only ever found two pig bones, both Mandibles but did not have any understanding between the wild pig and domestic, i have since excavated two wild pig ( Boar) and have noticed the great differences not only the teeth. Thank you very much for your input !
