Fossil antler from a huge red deer ( Cervus Elaphus )

1 - As reported earlier i excavated this red deer antler piece from ancient lake deposits on Teesside ( Cleveland ) i have now had time to do basic but necesery work on the piece to preserve it. The size of the deer that once held this antler must have been a giant, the estemated lenght of the complete antler is 130cm long, the burr diamater is 9 to 10 cm and it weighs 3 kg

South West Cleveland's ancient deep beck valley deposits

I am now starting to believe that the deep beck valleys of the south Cleveland area have been utilised by ancient Humans, not just after there creation but during there creation , up to 17.000 ybp.

I have so far over a seven year period, excavated stone and bone tools,and preserved mammal bones including Human bone from the Stainton gravel beds.

Then excavated countless mammal bones including both bone and stone tools and pottery, and again Human bones excavated, from what looks to be ancient lakes created in these deep beck valleys, either for burial or sacrificial purposes.

A simple record of mineralized Mammal bones and older fossils and minerals, excavated and found after release by flood waters from the recently descovered Stainton gravel beds. I am growing in cofidence now that i am getting close to proving the superficial geology beneath the south west area of cleveland is not the jumbled up glacial mess it is stated to be. And that mammals that have been stated as absent at the time that the Stainton gravel beds were formed, were infact here along with Humans. I have also stumbled upon a phonomina concerning the magnetic attraction of the Cleveland dyke in the Stainton area. Posts concerning the Stainsby deposits are not related to the much older Stainton gravel beds.
