Stainton gravel beds found at Stainsby beck

The images below show a section of Stainton gravel bed at Stainsby beck





 


 

The same red brown plastic clay  deposit, that the gravel beds sit on top of at all Stainton gravel bed locations, can be seen below the gravel bed

 


 
 

The image above shows the same stoneless Alluvial deposit to be found above the beds at all other excavation locations

Human skull fragments excavated

These skull fragments have recently been identified as Human, they were excavated from over two
 metres into the same section of packed Stainton gravel beds, at my main excavation at Stainton beck, that i also excavated a Human Tibia shaft.

1 - I was wrongly informed that this was calcite alibaster, something i eventually worked out was incorrect, its not Calcareouse and very heavy with no streak.
